I am/have been a member of the following organisations:

COMA (Contemporary Music making for Amateurs) aims to encourage musicians of all abilities to take part in contemporary music-making by providing opportunities for the creation and performance of new music, creating a high quality, contemporary repertoire technically accessible to amateurs, and building a network of amateur and professional musicians working to further these aims.

SRP: Society of Recorder Players. For more than eighty years The Society of Recorder Players has been stimulating interest and enjoyment in the art of recorder playing.

Tynedale Orchestra, formed in 1988 to enable orchestral musicians in the Hexham area to rehearse together and give concerts.

Northumberland Orchestral Society  formed in 1877 and one of the very oldest amateur orchestras in England.

North East Recorder Orchestra, formed in 2004 to enable recorder players in the North East of England to rehearse and perform some of the large repertoire now available for recorder orchestras

Cobweb Orchestra. The amateur orchestra with regular professional training. There are branches in Co Durham, Northumberland, Cumbria and York.
